Advisor

As an Advisor, you can help strengthen BC Kids Funding Navigator by sharing your expertise, lived experience, ideas, and connections. Advisors may provide feedback on resources, identify community needs, suggest opportunities, or connect us with helpful partners and networks. Advisors are not involved in day-to-day operations. Instead, they act as trusted supporters and sounding boards who help guide the growth of our resource.

Volunteer Expectations

Volunteers help us keep BC Kids Funding Navigator dependable, accurate, and accessible. We ask all volunteers to work respectfully with the project team, communicate clearly, and follow our quality standards.

Volunteers are expected to regularly check Slack and assigned action items, check in with their team to understand current progress and priorities, complete tasks on time, track progress, and accurately log volunteer hours.

When working on resource content, volunteers should use official, public sources, avoid unsupported claims or assumptions, respect confidentiality and privacy, and submit work for review before publication.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a volunteer position. Applications will be reviewed based on interests, skills, availability, and fit with BCKFN’s current needs. Successful volunteer candidates may be required to complete a criminal background check and onboarding steps before beginning their role, depending on the nature of the volunteer position.
