Find the support your family needs.

It was stressful and overwhelming after receiving my child's diagnosis. We want to get supports for our child as soon as possible. So, navigating the maze of disability fundings while trying to find the right service provider became my full-time job. A single, comprehensive resource would have simplified our journey, and gotten us the help we need without the exhausting search.

When our son was diagnosed, my husband and I were trying to process something that completely changed our lives. At the same time, we suddenly had to learn about therapies, services, resources, and funding, and there was no single place to find all of that information.

We spent so much time searching, talking to social workers, and asking other parents. Everyone seemed to know one part of the system, but we had to put the pieces together ourselves while we were already emotionally overwhelmed.

That’s why I think a centralized resource like this can mean so much to families. I hope it makes that confusing and uncertain journey a little easier, and also helps highlight the gaps that still exist in services, resources, and funding.
